Pediatric dentists have extra training in the growth and development of the teeth and jaws. At each exam, we evaluate the bite as well as growth and development. While Dr. Niloo treats certain cases in her office, she refers most orthodontic cases to an orthodontist. Most children start orthodontic treatment when their permanent teeth have erupted (usually between the ages of 11 and 13). Some complex cases may need to be addressed earlier, and Dr. Niloo knows to refer your child at the appropriate time.
